Ep 36: Stress can make you stronger and smarter

Nobody likes to feel stressed. It makes us uncomfortable and has a sense of helplessness. Advice abound on how to live a stress-free life which is something everyone hopes for. But few dare to even suggest that stress may be good for you, that it can make you stronger and sharper. It can also help you avoid some debilitating diseases in old age.
Our guest today, Dr Khairudin Aljunied, recently read a book entitled The Stress Test and is here to share what he has learned from it. Dr Khairudin is an associate professor at the National University of Singapore. He is the author of 7 books. And when he is not writing a book he plays soccer on Sundays and jogs 2-3 times a week. He is also a father of six children whose ages range between 7 and 21.
